Louie Bellson Legacy continues to inspire ... KISS!

It never ceases to amaze me who turns out to be a Louie Bellson fan.

At the Chicago Drum Show last year, I sold some Bellson artwork to attendee drummer Joel DeLorge.  As you may know, “Gone But Not Forgotten” is an art print of four legendary drummers.

Recently, Joel emailed me that he’d given one of the prints to “great friend and fellow KISS and Alice Cooper drummerEric Singer last week.  Eric was a big fan of Louie, Buddy, Gene, and Chick.  He also played with his father's society band while growing up ...  I thought I'd share with you the photo taken of us backstage at the KISS concert last week showing off the great art piece.”

Back row: KISS Gene Simmons, Eric Singer, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer.  Front row: Matt Csiszar, Joel DeLorge (holding framed art).

After getting permission to post this photo, Joel added that Eric, “told me he saw Louie in a drum clinic when he younger in 1972-73 in his hometown of Cleveland!”

You never know!
